- Stuart Mansley - My cousin Stuart is a fine guitarist and musician. He was living in London, but you can catch him now down in Melbourne at Billy Hydes, he'll do you a great deal on a guitar and throw in some jazzy chords for free. Nice Gibbo Stu.
- Noel Johnston - Noel teaches jazz guitar at the University of North Texas. He plays jazzy jazz.
- Gibson - Mmmm Gibson. My first guitar book when I was eleven had a woman holding an archtop on the cover. I've had a problem with them ever since. Archtops that is.
- Larrivee - Nice Acoustics.
- U2 - The first rock band I ever really liked, and still my favourite. Edge is underestimated. Great songs.
- King's X - My favourite hard rock power trio from my teenage years. Ty Tabor played everything in "drop d" before it was cool. Kinda Beatles meets Hendrix with big hair and big riffs. Ty's solos are great.
- Tuck Andress - I heard him for the first time in 1991, and I still can't figure out what he's doing. Fingerstyle jazz dude who must have seven fingers on each hand. He has his own particular groove.
- Wayne Krantz - This is a new one for me. Very percussive, melodic, improvised guitar trio thing. He's from New York.
